I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with 27 years of nursing experience in the psychiatric field, ranging from child, adolescent, and adult inpatient care to correctional healthcare and substance abuse treatment. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Chamberlain University and immediately began working towards my master’s degree in nursing/PMHNP. During this time, I worked full-time with autistic pediatric patients in an inpatient setting. My focus is on the treatment of mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, autism/developmental disabilities, and substance use through initial psychiatric evaluation and medication management across the lifespan. I believe in evidence-based practice, and creating a partnership with my clients, so together we can create an individualized plan of care that values client involvement. My goal for my clients is to empower them to treat their illness through supportive education and guidance in a stigma free environment. In my spare time I rescue horses, love nature, gardening, and hiking.
