Dr. Gene Royer

Dr. Royer graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Royer has been in practice since 1980. He has worked in emergency rooms. He owned a medical practice and walk-in clinic in Michigan as well as Maine. As a staff physician at SVHC, he provides family medical treatment and osteopathic manipulative therapy. He is certified to perform DOT physicals. Dr. Royer and his wife Vicki live in Lovell, Maine. They have four grown children and several grandchildren. Of their children, Anna was the only one interested in medicine as a career. She is currently a general surgeon in Lewiston. Dr. Royer has many interests including reading, writing, welding, travel, gardening, and sports. Unfortunately, he is left with little time to do many of these.
