Dr. Daniel Bates
Dr. Bates joined SVHC in 2008 as our staff psychiatrist. He is in the office three days per week, providing medication management to children, adolescents, and adults. He trained to become a physician at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine and did his psychiatry residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Before medical school, he was a lobsterman, carpenter, and woodcutter. Then, he trained to be a paramedic and nurse. When not with patients, Dr. Bates enjoys raising animals, playing music with friends, working on his house, and barn with his wife and children.
To see Dr. Bates, you need to be receiving primary care at SVHC.
