Marty
Braga, M.S.,
L.S.W., L.C.P.C.
Director
of Allied Health Services
In
addition to her other duties as the
Health Center’s Director of Allied Health Services; Marty is
a Licensed
Clinical Professional Counselor (L.C.P.C.). She provides both
individual and
group counseling to adolescents and adults. Marty received
her
undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University and her Master's
degree from
Suffolk University. In addition to being a Licensed Professional
Clinical
Counselor, Marty is also a Licensed Social Worker. She has been
providing
services at the Health Center since 1990.
Jeffrey
Scott Krebs, Ph.D.
Director
of Mental
Health Services
Dr. Krebs is a Clinical Psychologist who
practices three days per week
at the Health Center. He has been providing services to both older
adolescents and adults since January 1999.
Dr. Krebs
obtained his
Doctoral degree
from George Washington
University and received additional training during internships at New
York Hospital and at the National Institute of Mental Health's St.
Elizabeths Hospital.
In his
work here at SVHC,
Dr. Krebs is
responsible for the evaluation,
diagnosis and treatment of people who are in all manner of emotional
distress. He works closely with the medical providers, when indicated,
in order to ensure that Health Center patients receive the highest
quality health care possible.
Judith
Bean, L.C.S.W.
Licensed
Clinical
Social Worker
In August 2005 Judy joined us from
St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston where she was a member of an
inpatient medical
team. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in social
work from the University
of Southern Maine and her Master’s degree from Boston
College. She is a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Maine. Judy
provides
counseling services.
Catherine
Duthie, L.A.D.C., L.C.P.C.-C.
Mental
Health/Substance Abuse Clinician
Catherine joined SVHC in
September of 2006 as
a substance abuse/mental
health clinician. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in
psychology
from the University of Southern Maine in Portland, and a Master's
degree in counseling psychology with a concentration in substance
abuse/addictions from Antioch University New England in New Hampshire.
Catherine
is dually licensed
and has
provided assessments and treatment
to adolescents and adults in need of substance abuse and/or mental
health services. She has five years of counseling experience at
Tri-County Mental Health Services in Oxford and Lewiston. Prior to
graduate school, she worked in the field of special education for five
years. Catherine’s special interests and expertise include
co-occurring
disorders, integrative care, trauma, anxiety disorders, anger
management, and relapse prevention.
Catherine, her
husband of eleven years,
and their dog reside in Oxford
County. They enjoy the outdoors: hiking, kayaking, running, and
spending time at the ocean.
Tom Johnson,
L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Clinician
Tom has been
providing individual and group counseling to children, adolescents and
adults at the Health Center since March 2008. His experience includes
employment as a supervisor at
a residential treatment facility for adolescents, and at a
neurorehabilitation facility.
Having grown up in South Hiram on Apple Acres Farm, he attended local
schools. He received both his B.A. in Psychology and Master of Social
Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Southern Maine, and currently is a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Tom enjoys the outdoors in general and often can be found working at
the family orchard.
Eileen
M.
Kindl, L.C.P.C.
Mental
Health
Counselor
The
Sacopee Valley Health
Center contracts with Southwestern Maine
Clinical Associates to offer counseling to children and
adolescents. These services are provided by Eileen M. Kindl,
who
is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
Eileen is a graduate of
Antioch University
and Tufts University. She’s
been a kindergarten teacher and school-based counselor. Her
special interests and expertise include acute and chronic depression,
sexual abuse, over-anxious children and youth, and the
impact of trauma upon children and youth.
During the
three days
per week that she is at Sacopee Valley Health Center, Eileen provides
services to children and adolescents.
