Behavioral Health Provider Profiles

Marty Braga, M.S., L.S.W., L.C.P.C.
Director of Allied Health Services

In addition to her other duties as the Health Center’s Director of Allied Health Services; Marty is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (L.C.P.C.). She provides both individual and group counseling to adolescents and adults. Marty received her undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University and her Master's degree from Suffolk University. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Marty is also a Licensed Social Worker. She has been providing services at the Health Center since 1990.

Jeffrey Scott Krebs, Ph.D.
Director of Mental Health Services

Dr. Krebs is a Clinical Psychologist who practices three days per week at the Health Center. HeDr. Krebs has been providing services to both older adolescents and adults since January 1999. Dr. Krebs obtained his Doctoral degree from George Washington University and received additional training during internships at New York Hospital and at the National Institute of Mental Health's St. Elizabeths Hospital.
In his work here at SVHC, Dr. Krebs is responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of people who are in all manner of emotional distress. He works closely with the medical providers, when indicated, in order to ensure that Health Center patients receive the highest quality health care possible.

Judith Bean, L.C.S.W.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

In August 2005 Judy joined us from St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston where she was a member of an inpatient medical team. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Southern Maine and her Master’s degree from Boston College. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Maine. Judy provides counseling services.

Barbara Chase, L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Counselor

Barbara joined our mental health team in August 2011, providing individual counseling for adults and teens as well as couples counseling. Both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work are from the University of Southern Maine. Barbara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Level II EMDR therapist who works to help people overcome trauma. She is also interested in helping with depression, anxiety, self esteem, loss, and life transitions. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, gardening, reading and spending time with her friends and family. 


Tom Johnson, L.C.S.W.
Mental Health Clinician

Tom has been providing individual and group counseling to children, adolescents and adults atTom Johnson the Health Center since March 2008. His experience includes employment as a supervisor at a residential treatment facility for adolescents, and at a neurorehabilitation facility. Having grown up in South Hiram on Apple Acres Farm, he attended local schools. He received both his B.A. in Psychology and Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of Southern Maine, and currently is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Tom enjoys the outdoors in general and often can be found working at the family orchard.


Christina McGuire, L.C.S.W.
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinician

Christina, a Licensed Clinicial Social Worker, completed her Master's Degree at the University of Southern Maine in 2005. Prior to joining our mental health team she provided child and family therapy through evidence-based programs. Her background includes a Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Education and experience in therapeutic wilderness settings as a trip leader, counselor and EMT. Christina also worked in public schools as a special educator. In her spare time she enjoys spending time outdoors in the mountains and along the Maine coast with her family.
